Reflexology - Cathryn Priestley

I became interested in complementary therapies as part of my own healing and spiritual journey in 1999. I became a Reflexologist in 2006 and enjoy integrating a range of techniques from my other practices including Bach Flower Remedies and Life Coaching.

I recently moved to Malvern where I enjoy walks in the hills and being part of a thriving community.

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a complementary therapy which works on the feet (and hands) to facilitate good health and well-being.

Many healthcare professionals recognise reflexology as a well-established, effective therapy which can be used for treating specific conditions as well as inducing relaxation.

Reflexology can be used to help restore and maintain our natural equilibrium as well as treat a range of conditions from migraines to sciatica; IBS to menopausal symptoms.

How does it work?

In the feet (and hands), there are reflex areas which are arranged in such a way as to form a map of the body. By having the whole body represented, Reflexology offers a means of treating the body as a whole. This is an important factor of a natural therapy and allows not only symptoms to be treated but also the root causes.

The treatment is suitable for everyone (including infants) and only requires the removal of footwear. Many health and care professionals recognise reflexology as a well established, respected and effective therapy.
